What To Do If Having Tingling In Hands And Feet, Buzzing In Ears, Rapid Heart Beats After Smoking Weed?

I smoked strong weed, I don't do this often, and within minutes my hands and feet were tingling, buzzing, followed by severe hand cramps that made my hands claw-like. I felt that I was going to die with a rapid strong heartbeat. Earlier in the day I did strain my left arm by carrying something heavy.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,
It seems that you developed an episode of severe anxiety termed as Panic attack. Occurrence of anxiety is not uncommon after intake of cannabis (in your case, weed). Generally, it subsides on its own, but may need treatment if it persists. My advise will be to desist from cannabis intake as you may be prone to further such attacks too. Cannabis is known to cause not only panic attacks, but also other anxiety disorders, and even psychotic episodes. It will be desirable to consult a local psychiatrist if you are not able to give up smoking cannabis on your own.
