What To Do If Having Frontal Headaches Everyday And Nasal Sprays, Allergy Medications And Imitrex Do Not Help?

I have a frontal headache almost every day. Sometimes the pain comes down the left side of my face (like a nerve pain). I have used nasal sprays, sinus medications, allergy medications, and I almost always have to resort to Imitrex which isn t real effective. I have been treated with antibiotics for possible sinus infection with no relief. I have MS but my doc says they are not related. I m just starting to get worn out from having these every day. Most days I wake up with the headache. What should I do next?

Hi,

First of all, the nasal spray contains a strong substance, which causes the blood vessel s to constrict, in order to treat the sinusitis. So, you should not use the nasal spray for ever. You need to do further investigations to assess your conditions, such as CBC, measuring blood pressure, CT brain and CT on the sinuses. Moreover, you should ask an immunologist for other investigations and pinpoint the causes of your allergy to avoid them.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
