What To Do If Have Bladder Pain, Stress Incontinence, Urgency Incontinence Even After Taking Hyophen?

I was given sample hyophen for bad abdomen or bladder pain and it hasn t made a difference. I have a bladder sling but they say that isn t causing the pain but it didn t happen until about 8-15 months after the sling was put in. I still have stress incontinence and urgency incontinence. What do you think?

Hi,
I really do doubt if Hyophen will work for you. Mild degree of stress incontinence is not really bad after a sling surgery - I do ensure that when I do a sling surgery that the patient is slightly incontinent rather than slightly obstructed. So if the leak on cough is minimal, I suggest you ignore this issue, and try and build up the strength of pelvic muscles by Kegel's exercises.
Urge incontinence can develop after a surgery for stress leak or could have been there earlier but was masked by the stress incontinence. You can try taking drugs like Detrusitol which will almost certainly help, but you should first ensure you do not have significant residue of urine in bladder because in such a case you might land up with complete retention of urine. This drug could also help your bladder spasms to go away, and you could be feeling better .
