What To Do For The Soreness In The Mouth?

I tested positive for Strep Throat last Friday. Since, I have followed the regimented daily doses of Amoxicillan (1 pill twice daily). From Friday, my fever has gone down, but my gums have become severely inflammed and my mouth has broken out with canker sores all along the inside of my lips, roof of mouth, and tongue? What is the best course of action to relieve pain? I have been unable to eat or drink anything since Thursday. I greatly appreciate your time.

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The soreness in the gums, tongue and palate is because of the herpetic virus infection called herpetic gingivostomatitis. Since you are giving history of fever, the diagnosis goes in favor of herpetic infection. So, nothing to be panic, it is a self limiting condition, it will subside in 5days. You can take symptomatic treatment like use of topical anesthetic and analgesic like lignocaine and choline salicylate respectively. Do saline gargling.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
