Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

I would keep a possibility of insect bite hypersensitivity.

If I was your treating doctor I would have want to put you on oral antihistamines e.g cetrizine or loratadine twice daily for 5-7 days.

Considering the acute onset and rapid spread of swelling to your arm. it would be advisable to go to the emergency department. The doctor might feel the need to administer a shot of i/v steroid/hydrocortisone and i/v antihistamine e.g pheniramine maleate, to bring down the swelling and discomfort.

take care
regards
