What To Do For Gauze With Full Of Dried Blood, Stuck To Wound After Hand Surgery?
My fiance had hand surgery on Friday and was told to remove the bandages today. The gauze is full of dried blood and is stuck to his wound. It s extremely painful trying to remove it. They have stressed the importance on not getting his hand wet at all. What should we do?

Its a bit difficult to remove blood stuck gauge.You need to dip your wound in warm saline water for few minutes. It will get soften & can be removed easily.
After this use fresh dressing to close wound in sterilized manner.
