What To Do For Allergic Reaction By Irritating Skin Itches?
Am a male aged 41. For over fifteen years, I ve been suffering allergic reactions by having irritating skin itches. Last year in march I was put on diprofos injection which I ve been taking bi-monthly. Though not not fully recovered, the drug has proven better. The question is for how long can I take the drug in relation to its effects?
With such presentation in my hospital, I would first rule out the cause of the problem by doing Complete blood Picture, LFT and Kidney function tests.
If itching and ALLERGIC reactions with wheals long lasting more than 6 weeks called CHRONIC URTICARIA.
Simple antihistamine treatment may respond temporarily. If again same lesions appearing, your doctor can give PRO FOS injection 3 times per day in the first day and weekly twice in further weeks.
It has Betamethasonesteroid, so quick response but more adverse reactions. Last resort but not least and safe is a subcutaneous injection of HISTAGLOBULIN, is immunomodulator and given 86% respond.
My advice is, you consult a good dermatologist and go accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
