What types of tests should my physician be doing to find my stomach ulcers,I definitely think I have one. I have been experiencing abdominal pain upper and lower and in my back area. I ve already had some ultrasounds done and they say they didn t see anything, but I m still experiencing pain.

Hi,
It is pretty difficult to identify gastric ulcers by Ultrasound scan.
the ideal test is Endoscopy, where the doctor will pass a tube containing a small camera at the end ,through your mouth. He can see the various ulcers and lesions in your stomach in real time and can take tissue specimens for testing, if needed.
Endoscopy is more costlier than ultrasound, but its far more specific for Stomach ulcers.
So my advice is to visit a Gastroenterologist and he will do the procedure.

Hope this consultation is helpful to you.
Wishing you good health
