Welcome to healthcaremagic,
As you have completed your 3rd month, you need to be physically active and you can small amount of household work. Yes you can do walking. Do not do any heavy work or lift heavy objects.
During pregnancy you need to get 300 kcal of extra energy each day.
Dietary recommendations for you:
1. Eat plenty of vegetables of different types and colours (especially green leafy vegetables)
2. Have more of legumes and beans
3. Rice, wheat and millets should be taken in adequate amounts as they are the main energy supplying food.
4. Milk, egg, fish, meat and poultry are a good source of protein and should be taken frequently.
5. You can have fruits daily, avoid papaya
6. Limit biscuits, cakes, pastries, pies, processed meats, commercial burgers, pizza, fried foods, potato chips, crisps and other savoury snacks.
7. Consume less than 5 grams of salt per day as it will keep your blood pressure on the normal side.
8.Avoid consuming alcohol during pregnancy and lactation period as it is harmful to the baby.
9. Last but not least drink plenty of water.
Hope that answers your question.
Regards, Dr.Imaad
