What Should I Do For Intolerable Gum Pain?

I have sore and swollen red bumps on the back my tongue all the way down to my throat, my ear aches and I have very sore gums and feel my mouth is very dehydrated. I keep having to put Chapstick on. I have a dentist appointment on Tuesday but the gum pain is intolerable. Should I take immediate action or wait a few days?

thanks for your query, the gum pain could be because of the infection of the gums called gingivitis or periodontitis.. the swelling could be because of periodontal abscess...you need to consult your oral physician and get your teeth cleaned.. do saline gargling and take a course of antibiotic like doxycycline after consulting your physician..i hope my answer will help you..take care..
