What Should Be The Dosage Of Levaquin To Treat UTI After Hip Replacement?

I believe I have a bladder infection. Urinate ever few minutes and there is burning sensation when I do so. Just got home from the hospital yesterday where I had full hip replacement. The frequent urination started started there. I can't get hold of a doctor until tomorrow. We have some Levaquin, but it came from Mexico. My question is what dosage and frequency should I take . The pills are 500 milligram

I find it perfectly fine to wait until tomorrow to start penicillin. Levaquin should be reserved for cases where no other treatment is available, owing to concerns of bacteria developing antibiotic resistance. Until tomorrow, take aspirin and drink plenty of fluids. Then see your doctor.
