Harpic is a toilet cleaner that has harmful, active ingredients that can cause severe damage or perforation in the throat, esophagus, stomach and intestines. Even if you have vomited, you are advised to visit ER, get clinically examined and assessed. Get required blood tests and imaging tests, investigations (ultrasonography / CT, etc.) done. You may be made to vomit if required or treatment may be started to dilute the ingested corrosives and metabolic imbalances and coagulopathy, are corrected with specific management. Emergency surgical management may be done if needed. In the meantime, you will be given symptomatic treatment. Do not stay at home, you will require supportive treatment like bed rest, hydration or oxygen in case of restlessness or difficulty in breathing. Take bland diet.
