What Quantity Of Augpen Is Recommended For Severe Cough To An Infant?

Hi , My baby is six month old and he is suffering from sever cough an running nose , doc suggested me medemol drops , mental, levolin syrup and cetzine syrup. He asked me to give augpen HS 228.5mg syrup is all the above doesn't work. Kindly suggest me How to use augpen.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child has severe cough which is due to upper respiratory tract infection. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult Pediatrician/ ENT specialist for proper evaluation and get it diagnosed. you should go for blood tests, sputum tests and X-ray chest done. Yes you can take antibiotic syrup Augpen and you should use it twice daily. You should give child antihistamine drug as well such as Levocetirizine. Avoid exposure to allergens. Give child nebulization with salbutamol and pulmicort.
