Hello. I would like to ask regarding the case of my husband. He underwent medical examination for his work. On his ultrasound result there is consideration of nephrolithiasis on his right kidney. And CT stonogram is suggested. Do we need to go first to a nephrologist or go on with CT stonogram? Thank u.

Hi,

CT scan is more sensitive than USG in identifying the stone problem. So first you can investigate with CT scan to find all possible stone in kidney.

Than it's advisable to consult Urologist with reports.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
