Hi doctor happy new year 2015,

sorry to give u trouble on holidays,i and my wife are O negative blood group and we have one baby girl which is 1year 4months old now,she is suffering from celebral palsy from t day she was born and have a brain hemrage,doctor says its is because of.loss of oxygen during delivery
we are regularly making attempt to phystheropaist,we really dont know to continue for t second child is it safe,or should we go for a blood test,to reconfirm that we couples dont have any blood or harmones problems among us

Please guide us

Hello

Cerebral palsy in the fetus cannot be detected by blood or hormonal tests. It is mostly a genetic disorder.

As your doctor has mentioned that the problem in your child was due to lack of oxygen, i would suggest that you have to take care at the time of delivery. This might be the complication of delivery process.

Otherwise, your wife can conceive normally.
