What might a doctor do if a79 year old woman presents with normal oxygenation, shortness of breath, diaphoresis, and expiratory wheezing bilaterally? Patient was diagnosed and treated for a bronchitis/pnuemonia within previous 6 months and has shown to suffer from a mild left ventricular hypertrophy.

Dear sir

All the findings suggestive of COPD or Bronchial asthma.

Diaphoresis - Will increase due to increased respiratory effort

The mild left ventricular hypertrophy - It will be due to increased pulmonary hypertension.

Oxygen saturation - Decreased.

Loop diuretics along with potassium sparing diuretics is adviced to control fluid accumulation and decrease left ventricular hypertrophy.

Thanks
