Hello,
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
First thing is we have to identify the cause for this Pulmonary
hypertension.
Pulmonary Hypertension is just a sign of some existing or other diseases.
Based on the identified cause, we have to treat and then only your Pulmonary hypertension will decrease.
Eventually the findings in the x-ray will disappear.
There are plenty of causes for pulmonary hypertension.
Some common causes are
heart failure,
chronic lung disease, clots in lung etc.
You need further complete physical examination and further investigation to identify the cause. The routine investigations are
1. Echocardiogram
2. Computed
tomography (
CT scan )- Chest
3. Ventilation-perfusion scan (V/Q scan)
4. Electrocardiogram ( ECG or EKG)
5. Exercise testing like Tread mill test
6. Chest X-ray- that you already taken
7. Routine blood tests
Depending upon the findings in investigation, we diagnose the cause and start treatment.
Hope this helps.
Please write back for further queries.
Wishing you good health.
