What Medication Other Than Metformin Be Taken For Type 2 Diabetes?

My husband,his brother and I all have type 2 diabetes I take Janumet my husband takes metformin but my brother in-law can t take metformin as it affects his eyesite what other oral meds are available for him? Right now he is just trying to eat better but it s not good enough,

Hi & Welcome.

Your brother in law seems to be intolerant to Metformin.
If the diet does not control his blood glucose level, then he should take other oral medications like Glipizide or Glibenclamide or Glimepride. They should be used along with diet and exercise.

He is advised to consult a physician for proper evaluation and treatment.
