What Medication Is Suggested For Sore Throat And Ear Pain?
so i went to the doctor last week or a sore throat and ear ache. he tested me for strep throat and mono but both came back negative but he did say he think its strep. so i been taking the medicine he prescribed to me. the white spot became little but yesterday when i brushed my tooth it fell off but my throat and ear is still hurting....i want to know is it really a strep throat or should i go back to the doctor

in my opinion, if this is only irritation in your throat , no pain. this is mostly due to viral pharyngitis. in that case I would not recommend antibiotics to my patients. I would recommend just palliative treatment in form of chlorhexidine gargles, antiallergic, antihistaminic medication. it will take around 7-10 days to cure itself.
