What Medication Is Suggested For Foaming At The Mouth During Sleep?

My 5 year old son has been foaming at the mouth whilst sleeping. He doesn t display any kind of breathing difficulties whilst he sleeps. When awake in the day & watching tv he sounds like he is snoring heavily & I have to check if he has fallen asleep, which he hasn t. He does not snore like that when he is sleeping. Could this be a respiratory issue or sinus problem? Anything I should seek medical help with? He has also caught ringworm on his scalp which his doctor gave me nizoral shampoo to treat it with but it seems to have gotten worse, becoming raised & it is seeping. Any advice please would be grateful.
