What Medical Tests Are Recommended For A 40 Year Old?

im turning 40 years old this year and im wondering what sorts of exams are recommended for someone my age. what kind of doctor i should seek out as well, since there are so many kinds of specialties out there and im not certain whom to visit. any suggestions, please, and thank you very much for your time...

Thanks for writing in.

At 40 years following tests may be done:
Blood investigations: Complete hemogram, liver function, kidney function, lipid profile, Blood glucose and Thyroid function tests.
Routine urine tests.
Chest X ray.
Ultrasound scan abdomen and pelvis.
Ultrasound scan breast may be done if you are a female with any history of breast disease in family.
ECG (electrocardiography) may also be done.
