Pulmonologist 's  Response
Hello,

As you explain the situation it depends on the lung function of the baby and especially if the lungs have already an anatomical problem. If not than I don't think he or she will have further lung problems. Ask the doctor again if he has lung defect problem.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Jolanda Nikolla, Pulmonologist
