General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi, Stomach rumble is a bowel sound as the fluids/gases/food passes forward in digestive tract . It is more in case of- - hunger- hunger contractions. - Incomplete digestion of food leading to excessive gas formation - gastro intestinal upsets. Here it is associated with gases/constipation/diarrhea/pain. In your case it can be due to- - retiring to bed immediately after eating -Digesiton problems - Gastro intestinal infection/infestation I would advice for- - eating light/optimum food in night. - eating 2-3 hours before sleep -regular walking/exercises - consultation of gasteroenterologist . Thanks.
