Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. You took I-pill within 12 hour of sex. It contain high progesterone level. Your bleeding is breakthrough bleeding due to progesterone withdrawal effect. It will last for 3 to 4 days and will goes its own. If not resolves in 7 days then tranexemic acid by consulting the gynecologist will help to reduce the bleeding. Your next period could be earlier, delayed by 1 to 2 week and excessive bleeding can occur. Avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water, maintain proper pelvic hygiene.

Hope this may help you. Contact further if follow up needed.

Best regards,
Dr. Sagar
