Hi I am a 57 year old male and the the skin on my glans partially covers the urethra I have been told by a Urologist that it should be surgically opened up. It hasn t caused me any problems except recently I have developed a irratation after I urinate and I have been tested for stds. Any idea what I should do? I am open for suggestions Thanks Jeff
The mentioned condition is called phimosis in which foreskin cannot fully retract over urethra.
If it doesn't create any problem then no need to worry. But phimosis can lead smega deposition and so chronic balanitis can occur.
So it's better to treat with circumcision in which foreskin is removed and tight frenulum released.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
