What Is The Treatment For Type 2 Diabetes?

Hello, I m a 76 year old woman. I m morbidly obese, five feet tall with 224 lbs on my body. I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes many years ago. I m a steady user of both Lantus and Forosemide. In 2000 I had open-heart surgery for a double bypass. Pryor to that I had a heart attack in 1998 for which I was stented with one stent. (I coded for 45 seconds before the new diagnosis could be determined). The Bypass started to fail in 2010 or 2011. Although both bypass arteries were failing, only one could could be stented. The doctor told me that s the last surgery my heart could have and if any other problems arose I was SOL . I was told by two of their cardiologists that my heart was at least 10 to 15 yrs older than the rest of my body. Now, my doctor, (GP) has told me my kidneys are in chronic condition, with nothing mentioned to me prior to this time. Here on the internet, I can t seem to pin down diatery changes I need to help myself get better. I ve read: No grains, no canned foods, no meats unless it specificly states no phosphorus , no whole wheat, no dairy foods (my Greek yogurt??) The only cheese I eat is a slice of my special French imported Swiss chees about twice a week. The list goes on and on. I want to know what foods I can and canNOT eat to make recipes I can actually create! If you or someone you know could help me I sure would appreciate it. Other conditions now and in the past you need to know, please let me know. Thank you!

I have gone thru your query and understand your concern for your long lasting problems . As a Naturopath - Homeopath -Magneto therapist , I appreciate your decision to help your self get better through dietery changes .

Treatment with only tablets and insulin is not enough anyway .A strict diet control and regular exercise to control weight is a part of the therapy.

First of all , you have to manage your weight ,that is too high for your height .
ave to increase your activity level. As you are heart patient ,only mild exercise are recommended .Walk for 20 minutes ,yoga asanas , deep breathing -Inhale hold - Exhale - hold 10-20 times / Kapalbhati -throw your breath out 20 - 50 times in slow rhythm . Shavasan - lie down straight comfortably . shell out all your tensions , close your eyes . and relax . give auto suggestion -- all my problems are going out , I am getting better --better ----better. Remain in this posture for 5 mins . then get up slowly and rub your hand and keep on your eyes for 10 seconds . Repeat 3 times .

I suggest you to take regular balanced low carb ,low fat diet ,more of fibers ,like brown bread ,brown rice , vitamin s in natural form as fruit , raw veges ,
.Include all essential nutrients , vitamins ,minerals in natural form as juicy fruit ,green leafy veges , spplements fullof antioxidants - lemon juice ,bitter gourd juice 25 ml , Aloe vera juice +Amla juice , coconut water , turmeric with a cup of hot milk , a few to count , and proper , exercise regular walk yoga ,pranayam - deep breathing will fulfill your requirement of balanced diet ,and overall detoxification of your system .
Avoid fried , fast foods tea ,coffee ,alcohol ,smoking ,mental stress ,worry anxiety and most important is to clear you bowls . as constipation is mother of all ills
Last but not the least shun your mental stress , worry, over exertion ,anger .To get sound sleep practice meditation to enhance resistance from diseases and pave way for healthy , happy ,disease free life if above regimen followed regularly .
