What Is The Treatment For This OGTT Test Result During 34 Weeks Pregnancy?

hi i am 34 weeks pregnant. My 75g OGTT result(CONVENTIONAL UNIT) is FBS (Glucose) 79mg/dl, 1st hour 149 mg/dl, 2nd hour 157 mg/dl. (SYSTEM INTERNATIONAL) FBS (Glucose) 4.36mmol/L, 1st hour 8.22 mmol/L, 2nd hour 8.61 mmol/L. Is my result elevated? What should i do if its elevated? Thanks

Hello and welcome to HCM.
As a specialist, i can fully understand your concern.
Your blood sugar is definitely high. You should check HbA1C, with FBS.
You should avoid any kind of sweet foods, and sugar in tea/ coffee.,etc.
Hope you're exercising. Check your fasting blood for lipid profile as well.
At 34 weeks, your 3rd ante-natal scan should be done.
Repeat FBS, PP2BS, in a weeks time and treatment will depend on that .
If needed, Metformin is started in low doses. You may send the report to me, as a direct question, for an expert opinion. Wish you well.
