What Is The Treatment For Swollen Gland In The Neck?
i have a swollen right gland in my neck. my doctor put me on antibiotics for a week and told me to take a take a bllood test. On the scrip it says to check hemoglobin Alc. He told me the he felt about a one inch(?) and told me if the swelling did not go away in 10 days to come back and he would order a biopsy? what is the doctor confirming by the blood result? throid problems or cancer?

Your blood test HbA1c will tell about your long term blood sugar status, are you Diabetic?
The biopsy will be needed if your swelling is not going or is increasing, it will tell the nature of swelling.
