What Is The Treatment For Swollen Finger Tip Which Is Hot In Child?
Hello, my 6 month old son has a red swollen finger tip that feels hot to the touch. It seems to be most swollen around his fingernail, on the side, like as if he had a hang nail pressing into his finger. I cut his finger nail at the spot where it is swollen, because it looked like the nail was a little too long and maybe pressing into his skin. I also put a little peroxide on it to clean it out. He doesn't have any other symptoms but I am just wondering if I should do anything else to treat it? Thank you!

as your son's finger tip got swollen because of some localized response followed by a hit or any infection.
as the finger tip got swollen and hot possibility some (bacterial )infection. what you have done is okay as of now.
if its making your child discomfort kindly visit a pediatrician for further management.
