What Is The Treatment For Swelling, Hematoma From Mid Leg To Feet After Falling From Stairs?

Mother in law had shin injury 9 says ago, fell on steps. Now has swelling and hematoma from mid leg down all the way through feet and toes but not warm to the touch. She has decided it s cellulitis but I m thinking compartment syndrome. If its the latter what s the best treatment avenue

I really appreciate your concern for your, mother in low she had history of injury( Fall) the soft tissue injury is likely, and that might caused the collection of blood that might have escaped from the tissue vascular system after the trauma, usually this type of injury does not need any treatment the collection of blood get absorbs on its own, care need to be taken for secondary infection, for the pain and swelling NSAID can be tried, hope this information helps you have nice day.
