Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Im a goalkeeper and have had shoulder pain in the past, but it eventually went away. About a month or two ago it came back. It is not a constant pain, but it hurts when my arm is extended to my side or behind my back and resistance is applied (like when I pick something up to the side of me). It also sometimes hurts when I dive. I was wondering if I should see a doctor or if I will be okay and not have to.
Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you may be developing freezing shoulder because it is painful when your arm is extended to your side and behind. Treatment of it is mobilization exercises in full range of movements and analgesic such as ibuprofen. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it. I do hope that you have found something helpful. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.
