I have a problem arise that I was wanting to get a second opinion.

I started my period on March 25, which was regular, I started to end it on Tuesday, Wednesday, when on Wednesday night it started to get heavier. On Thursday morning, I woke up and put a tampon in and it was soaked with in an hour, when I should have been finished with my period by then. I called the doctor and the nurse practitioner order for a hormone test to see if I miss carried and gave me some iron. She got the results back today called me and said it was negative. So I asked the nurse, what could be wrong and she said I could have an infection, but to wait till Monday to be seen. Does this sound like it could wait till then or should I go to the ER?
