Hello,

The treatment of acute pancreatitis is:

- Patient should be hospitalized and give rest to bowel.
- Feeding means only fluids, analgesics are given to reduce the pain.
- Check every day calcium levels, renal function tests.
- It is better to avoid alcohol or else relapse will occur.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Siddartha
