What Is The Treatment For Muscle Pain And Cracking In Neck After Fall?

I fell on my back while trying to teach my daughter to ice skate. I hit the ground very hard and my back and head hit first, there was a mound of ice where my upper back hit, causing my back to arch backwards over it and my head bounced off the ice. I heard a terrible cracking, crunching sound form my back and the pain was excruciating. It on I knocked the wind out of me, I could not talk or get up without help. That was four days ago and th lain is just as intense. I am having a hard time moving. Th pain is in My upper back and neck. I was taken to our local e.r. And they did a cat scan and saw no breaks but said they could not see if their was any disc damage on a cat scan. Several years ago I was diagnosed with two herniated discs in my neck that I did p.t. And yes traction for and the symptoms subsided after about 8 months. I was hoping to find out if I could have hurt those discs more, if nothing appeared fractured what the awful cracking sounds were and why I am in so much pain still with such a lack of...So mobility. Should I go back to.the doctor's for a second opinion?

hi,
As mentioned you were diagnosed with PIVD without any bony abnormality and you r still having radicular pain symptom then in my opinion you should go for conservative management with regular psysiotherapy , warm compression , analgesic, vitamins , lifestyle modification. If symptom aggravated or persists another 2 weeks then consult orthopaedic immediately .
You should always take second opinion in case of doubt or symptomatic following treatment .
