What Is The Treatment For Middle Back Pain?

I fell last week and shortly thereafter I felt pain in my right middle back. It was pretty intense. I thought I had a kidney infection. Went to doctor and had a urinanalysis done and test came clear. Doctor believes the fall caused the pain I was experiencing. Said to take ibuprofen. Could something else be causing the pain. The pain has subsided somewhat.
