Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

The treatment for metastatic prostate cancer is by chemotherapy and radiation therapy.

Surgery is not possible in a person who has metastatic prostate cancer. This is an advanced disease and cannot be cured completely.

For symptomatic relief and to slow down the disease process, radiation therapy might reduce the pain from the cancer and chemotherapy will kill and control the cancer cells.

Pain is also important to control and he is also having arthritis. He might require pain shots in the neck and pain relief for cancer symptoms.
