Hello! I am 30-year-old female who has a large boil on my bikini line. It is very raised and about the size of a quarter. I have been applying a warm compress for days and two pus-filled heads have formed at the top of the boil. I do not have health insurance and am having a hard time getting into a doctor's that won't charge hundreds of dollars to lance it. If the heads have formed at the top, is it okay to lance it with a sterilized needle? I have anti-bacterial ointment and have been taking extra vitamin supplements to help fight infection.
