What Is The Treatment For High Blood Sugar?

Hi.. Female, Aged 66 yrs.. SGOT is 98 and SGPT is 58 all of a sudden with blood sugar reporting 400 + all of sudden with no sugar history earlier. We r confused and they redirect to more tests.. 1. All diagnosis started with acute foot pain. 2. Pain killers were taken before SGOT/SGPT Test Sugar test positive. Now Steroid tablet is taken for Rheumatoid profile high. Pls advise what exactly is happening. What next step? Thanks in advance.

Welcome to hcm, at this time if I were your treating physician I will directly go for a insulin regimen for controlling her high diabetic status. Nsaids are prescribed along with pregabalin in diabetic neuropathy ( pain in the leg) I don't feel any wrong in it with regard to your sgot and sgpt levels you might need a hepatoprtector also hope this explains
