What Is The Treatment For Hepatitis And Elevated Liver Enyzmes?

My husband may have hepatitis. His liver enzymes are elevated and he has an appointment with a liver specialist. His gen doc sent his blood work out for more tests. If he has Hep B, does that mean he got is sexually??? She said something about getting it from food maybe. What should I do? I worried that I could have something from him?:(

Hello
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Hepatitis are different types.
Hepatitis A and E spread through dirty food and infected water.
Hepatitis B and C spread through sexually, minor surgeries, unsafe injections etc.
Certain drugs also cause increase in liver enzymes.
Alcohol and liver injury also cause same.
Please consult your liver specialist and do the liver function test and find out the actual reason of elevated enzymes.
Hope this will help you.
Take care...
