Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Is The Treatment For Frozen Diaphragm Preventing Burping?
I have been diagnosed, xrays, with a frozen diaphram. I can not burp unless I lie on my effected left side. This gets extremely uncomfortable as I often can not simply lie down. This was diagnosed about two yrs. ago after a heart surgery and I was told it could repair itself but to date has not. I am experiencing digestive troubles now. Are these things connected somehow?
Hello. Thanks for writing to us. Frozen diaphragm can be the cause of your digestive problems to some extent. This sees to be related to a minor nerve injury. Spontaneous recovery is less likely after such a long time. I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. Regards, Dr. Praveen Tayal , drtayal72@gmail.com
