What Is The Treatment For Fever?

Hi my four year old has the flu and I took her to the er 3 days ago with a temp of 104 and they said she also has ketones in her urine and sent us home with Tamiflu and Motrin. It is a struggle to keep her temp down should I be worried and take her back to the hospital or is this just how the flu is?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,
Thank you for asking question on health care magic.
To keep the temperature under control Paracetamol 15 mg/kg body weight every 4-6 hours along with tepid sponging repeatedly depending on the fever.
It is not possible to say whether it is flu or not without examining the patient.
Hope this answer will serve your purpose
Please feel free to ask any more queries if required
Take care
