Hi
Thanks for contacting HCM
The information is provided by you is not sufficient for concluding diagnosis.
As per your information your father is on Monocef 200
that means your father is on Injectable form of antibiotic and monocef contains the active ingredient Ceftriaxone, which is a Cephalosporin class antibiotic that's used to treat various types of infections like typhoid fever.
If fever is in decresing trend , i.e., suppose if first day the fever was 103f now it is in 101 F and vitals ( PULSE b.P. spo2 ) are stable than it is ok.
FOR CHOICE OF ANTIBIOTIC NEEDS BLOod report like
CBC with ESR
Blood Culture
serum Widal
KFT/ LFT
Serum Electrolytes
Present Sugar level and blood pressure
kindly upload report on drabhishek@aol.in
Please disscuss with your treating doctor about diagnosis
thaks
