Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted your history of accidentally swallowing a gulp of swimming pool water at your friend's place. And you developed diarrhea. This is so because the water of a swimming pool must be loaded with bacteria which your stomach is not accustomed to. You should go to the ER or your Doctor, get the stool tested and get the proper antibiotic cover along with probiotics and so on. Take plenty of oral fluids and electrolyte power to avoid dehydration and electrolyte imbalance. Complete the course of antibiotic. Do not be scared, this is treatable.
