creatinine level of 1.4, i would avoid
angiography in a patient of mine as far as possible.
Those creatinine levels mean that the patient is starting to develop renal involvement of
diabetes. i would in fact suggest meeting a
nephrologist.
what happens is that the dye given and introduced in the body has to be removed via the kidneys and therefore adversely affects the kidneys. with creatinine of 1.4, the chances of developing
renal failure may be high
there are some medicines and iv fluids that may possibly help reduce the creatinine sufficiently for the procedure if needed. but i would definitely cousel meeting a nephrologist
