What Is The Treatment For Chronic Sore Throat ?

I m a 64yr old female, take no meds for any conditions, slender (109 lbs 5 1 )and health conscious, but for 3 months have had a sore red & irritated throat and with accompanying redness with a few white spots on my upper inside gums . Doctors don t know what it is. I don t have health insurance till Nov. (become 65=medicare) and can t afford a lot of tests. I have done a lot of research and believe it is thrush because I have toenail fungas problems and psorisis on my elbows my whole life, and dandruff , and my eyebrows disappeared a few years ago and on my temples my hair is receding. When I did menstrate I had PMS and cramps. I believe these are some symptoms of candida overgrowth. I don t have intestional symptoms. I have regular good bms and eat a lot of fresh veggies and good proteins . For 1 week now I have had no refined sugars, or fruit juice or starches. I m looking into anti-fungal herbs, garlic and sauerkraut for help because I realize many medicines will make it worse. Could it also be Gardenella?? Don t know what this is. Currently my Doctor gave me 2 (150mg) tablets of Fluconazole (one I took 4 days ago and 1 tomorrowI take the other). So far have not seen improvement. Please advise and thanks.
