What Is The Treatment For Bumps In Pubic Area?

Five days ago I shaved my pubic area which I do on a regular basis. In the showers I noticed a small bump. Today, I realized that the bump has increased in size. It does not hurt but it does feel hard. I wouldn't have noticed it had I not felt it. The bump is external... its on the skin. There are some smaller white bumps surrounding the area. The large bump isn't red and it's not quite white.

Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic

I am afraid I cant give you a definitive diagnosis but I would keep a possibility of Genital Molluscum. They are firm, dome shaped papules which are pearly white in color and have a central pit or dent on the surface. They are asymptomatic and are on the surface of the skin unlike folliculitis/razor bumps which can also have a deeper component and are somewhat tender.

Genital molluscum is acquired sexually and in people who shave regularly there is a chance of autoinnnoculation to the surrounding skin.

I would suggest that you see a dermatologist for a confirmatory diagnosis as well as appropriate treatment.

regards
