What Is The Treatment For Anal Fissure?

I am a 19 year old male. 4 months ago, I had a little bit of blood on the toilet paper after several bowel movements. So I went to the doctor, and I tested positive for occult blood. I then went to a colon specialist, and he said that he could see an anal fissure when he looked at my butt. He gave me some Medicine and I no longer had symptoms. Then now (4 months later) just to be sure, I did another occult blood test and it was positive again. What could be wrong?

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted that you are 19 years old and you were diagnosed as anal fissure and got alright with the medications that your Doctor gave.
Now the stool is still testing positive for occult blood.
This means that you need a thorough clinical evaluation examination and investigations :
Upper GI Endoscopy.
Colonoscopy.
If needed capsule endoscopy.
Ultrasonography of the abdomen.
Treatment as per the cause found which may be a gastric or duodenal ulcer or colitis and so on.
If some surgical like cancer colon or so, you will need a surgical management.
I find this answer helpful
