Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my father is of 65 years, his u.s report shows 2 cortical cyst on upper pole of left kidney measuring 4.5 and 3.5 cm. no focal mass, no calculus, no hydronephrosis, kidneys r normal size and shape. but he has abdominal pain. what should we do for it? do we need to bother about it?
I. There are many reasons for pain in abdomen. If the pain is not where the kidney with cysts are, one has to find another reasons. The cortical cysts never cause pain unless they is an internal bleeding - which is picked up on sonography. What are other associated symptoms? Which side is the pain in abdomen?
