What Is The Treatment For A Swollen Leg And Thyroid Problems?

I am a 35 years old female. I discovered that Iam having Thyroxin imbalance- Lack of thyroxin. Started taking pills last week. I have swollen leg, specially the right side of the body, most of the times the foot is numb. Idon't know what to do...I did not get my period last month. Earlier it was regular.I feel nausea at times and most of the times I feel weak. Is this related to this Thyroxin Hormone?

Hello,

I have gone carefully through your concern and understood your query. All the symptoms you mentioned are due to inactive thyroid or hypothyroidism. Treatment needs at least 4 week to start the effect clinically, so you have to weight to see the improvement. Thyroxin does not have side effects if you take the right dose, but you have to take it correctly, early in the morning and for 30 min to 1 hour do not eat or drink anything.
