What Is The Treatment For A Lump In The Armpit?

Hi, I m a 17 year old girl and last summer I noticed I had a small lump under my left arm pit. I asked a friend about it and she said it was probably a cyst and not to worry about it, so I didnt. Over the past year the lump has always been there but it hasn t hurt all the time but every once in a while it would be sore for about a week and go away, now it s back again but it seems like it s more sore than it was the other times and it doesn t seem to be going away. Should I be worried?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You may have enlarged axillary lymphnode due to reactive hyperplasia or tuberculosis. Or you may have some cyst or lipoma. You should go for fine needle aspiration cytology of that lump. It will give you exact diagnosis.
Then you should take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer.
Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
